Sambhar
South Indian home style vegetarian Sauce.
Fresh and spicy. Sambhar is a South India delicacy and is famous for its tangy and spicy taste and nutritional value. It is made with Tamarind juice, Yellow split pea (Lentil) , spices and fresh vegetables such as Tomato, Onion, Green Peas, Capcicum etc.
No milk products are used and is suitable for vegans. Very good with Rice, Pasta, bread and Indian dishes like Iddli, Dosa, Vada etc. Can be used as soup if you can handle the heat! Can also be used as a marinade to flavor and as gravy.
Also can be used as a stir fry sauce. Stir fry your favorite vegetables and add one or 2 laddles of this sauce, simmer for a minute or two. Enjoy!
