Phonocardiograph Monitor can read these data files, represent them in easy to visualize XY-plot format (called phonocardiogram) and can also obtain frequency/pitch characteristics of an entire sound or for a given sound component or murmur. Sound segments of interest can be selected, visualized and re-played
using build in audio player tool. Murmurs are characterized using proprietary system and are graded by intensity, timing, frequency. Corresponding 6/6 Freeman Levine grade is also estimated and time varying heart rate can be measured.
Data can be represented in real time or in data format, sound data can be re-processed and stored in text and excel format for the further use in the class or in non-clinical research. Software is intended to be utilized in post-processing mode. Current release includes real time heart sound recording and replay capabilities.
